From the Court to the Community: EUC Handball 2025 at Covilhã Desportiva

The organizing committee of the European Universities Handball Championship took part in Covilhã Desportiva, an event promoted by the local municipality that brought together dozens of sports clubs, associations, and organizations in the heart of the city. 

With a specially designed promotional stand, the EUC Handball 2025 team seized the opportunity to publicize the championship, raise awareness about the importance of university sports, and engage the local community in the spirit of the upcoming competition.

Throughout the day, the stand became one of the liveliest spots at the event, thanks not only to the interaction with the volunteers and organizing team but also to an interactive activity prepared for visitors: a fun handball challenge. Open to all ages, the game invited participants to try their hand at a handball shot. Those who hit the target won a small symbolic prize, adding an extra layer of excitement and curiosity around the sport.
